Clubhouse facilities

Our clubhouse has magnificent views over the Western Solent, and is ideally located next to the public slipway and a large car park.

Upstairs, The Solent Room incorporates our bar & restaurant with a balcony where you can sit and watch the boating world go by. Alongside, the Martineau Room provides space for smaller meetings and incorporates our library. Our new lift provides easy access to the upstairs facilities.

Downstairs, in addition to the changing rooms and club offices, we have the Lower Deck Bar.

When not in use by the Club, these rooms are available for hire, at very reasonable rates to members - rising in stages to the commercial rate. Application for hire should be made through the Club Office.

The Solent Room

The Solent Room is the venue for all the main Club activities from sailing to social. The restaurant and bar offer a wide choice in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We serve light snacks to three course meals, and the bar is fully stocked with a range of beer, wine, spirits and soft drinks. A rack full of all the popular boating publications is available for the use of Club members while enjoying the Solent Room at quieter times. A powerful pair of binoculars is available to enhance the view even more!

The Martineau Room

This was the Committee Room until it was renamed the Martineau Room in 2008, to commemorate our original club commodore, and to show that the room can be used for more than just committee meetings. It houses the Club library and members are welcome to borrow books.This room is also used for the RYA and other training courses and can be used for other purposes.

The Lower Deck Bar

The Lower Deck Bar is mainly used as an additional quiet bar when the  Solent Room is full. As with the Martineau  Room it can also be used for functions and instructional courses. Looking forward, plans are in hand to renovate this bar into a more multi-purpose space.

The Tillman Room

The Tillman Room is a state of the art classrom used for training courses. It is located at the rear of the Lower Deck Bar. The Lymington Town School of Sail and Power - LTSSP - is an RYA accredited training establishment who run their courses in this room.
