2010 29er Open Meeting

EVENT UPDATE - SUNDAY 12th SEPTEMBER, 15.15.

EVENT DETAILS (PRE-EVENT)

We're very pleased to announce that Nick Cox Chandlery has confirmed their sponsorship of this event with a substantial prize fund. Matt Evens who runs Nick Cox is very knowledgeable about rope selection & kit for high performance & skiff sailing, has supported the South Coast 29ers for some time and has increased his product range to include everything needed for 29ers. The Chandlery is only 300m from the club and is open from 8:00am to 5:00pm on both Saturday & Sunday.

RIB Crew Needed

My RIB will be supporting this event, but as I’ll be sailing, I need a couple of volunteers each day to crew it. Saturday 11th September                      
0830:  Car Park & Slipway team briefing
0835:  Car Park & Slipway team starts
0845:  Registration team briefing
0900:  Registration starts (upstairs Committee Room) & Tickets for Evening meal on sale £8.00
1000:  Briefing for Committee boat & RIB teams (Packed lunches ready for collection for RIB & Committee boat)
1100:  Competitors briefing
1130:  Tally board to slipway
1230:  First race start - races 2, 3 & 4 (back to back)
1800:  Supper served
1900:  Presentation by Duncan Truswell

Sunday 12th September            
0900:  Bacon Baguettes tea / coffee.
           Briefing for committee boat & RIB teams
           Packed lunches ready for collection (RIB & Committee Boats)
           Car Park & Slipway Team briefing
           Car Park & Slipway Team starts
0930:  Tally board to slipway
1030:  First race start - races 6 7 & 8 (back to back)
1430:  No race will start after this time
1530:  Prize Giving ASAP following racing

We are expecting some of the highest tides of the year this weekend:
HW Saturday - 13:40
HW Sunday - 14:20

Entry Fee

The entry fee of £25 includes Dinghy berthing at Lymington overnight on Friday 11th September and Saturday 12th September. Skiff Supper Saturday Evening £8.00
