Wednesday Early Points; 321 Start sequence trial
Written by Barry Stricklen Saturday, 09 April 2011 13:13
It has been suggested by the LTSC Dinghy Racing working party that we trial a new start sequence for Wednesday evening races. The Sailing Committee has agreed to this trial to be held over three Wednesday Evenings 13th April, 20th April & 27th April 2011.
The effect of this suggestion is to change the start sequence from the Current 5, 4, 1 go
to the suggested sequence of 3, 2, 1 go.
The Fleets will start in the same order ie Fast, Wayfarer, Medium & Slow.
Therefore, depending upon the Ferry the sequence will be (approximately).
1830 (Np1 up) Fast warning signal
1831 (P up)
1832 (P down)
1833 (Np1 down, W up) Fast start & Wayfarer warning signal
1834 (P up)
1835 (P down)
1836 (W down, & Np 2 & 3 up) Wayfarer start & Medium & Slow warning signal
1837 (P up)
1838 (P down)
1839 (NP 2 & 3 down) Medium & Slow start.
I have also attached the amendment to Sailing Instructions to cover this trial.
We will welcome any comments you may have as to the outcome of the trial.
