4 Months to go to AGM 2009

Yes, only four months to go to our AGM in December 2009. As stated previously I will be in the middle of the Atlantic on the ARC, but will be standing for re-election as Commodore. Whilst it is early days and decisions have still to be made we already know that Derek Easter will not be standing for the role of Vice Commodore and that Peter Allen will not be standing for Rear Commodore House. Tony Hodges and Derek Fern have decided to stand down and there may be one other vacancy under the length of service rule. Currently we know of Chris Everett who will stand to take over from Tony on buildings, leaving us with some
vacancies for new blood. As stated earlier, Flag Officers have to have been Club members for four years and to have served on either the Executive or Sailing Committee. It’s important therefore that we continue to attract new people to the Executive who have energy to move the Club forward.
